How to Set Up Your Shipment Methods

Click on Settings from the left side menu. From the options listed, click on Shipment Settings.

You will see three boxes displayed on the Payment Settings page:

       Flat Shipment Rates

       Vamaship

       Self Shipment

 


Here are the steps to enable each of these shipment methods.

 

Flat Shipment Rates

 

Use this shipping method if you have fixed rates for shipping out your (heavy-weight and light-weight) products.

 

Step 1 : Hover to the Flat Shipment Rates box on the Shipment Settings page.

 

Step 2 : Click on the Enable Now button.

 

Step 3 : You’ll see a pop-up that says Flat Shipment Rates have been enabled; click on OK to close the pop-up.

 

Step 4 : Click on View/Edit next to the blue button that now says “Enabled”.

 

Step 5 : You will see two textboxes with the following labels: Rate (Per Kg) for Heavy Weight Shipment and Rate (Per Kg) for Light Weight Shipment.

Fill the respective text boxes with appropriate rates according to your webstore preferences and click Update.

 

Step 6 : Flat Shipment Rates have now been enabled for your webstore!

 

Vamaship

 

Use this shipping method if you want to use Vamaship as your shipping service and use their rates for heavy-weight and light-weight products/packages.

 

Step 1 : Hover to the Vamaship box on the Shipment Settings page.

 

Step 2 : Click on the Enable Now button.

 

Step 3 : You’ll see a pop-up to integrate Vamaship into your webstore shipping methods. The pop-up contains a text box labeled Registered PAN Number and a button below it labeled Create a Vamaship Account.

 

Step 4 : The pop-up also contains two links, “Heavy Weight Shipments” and “Light Weight Shipments”, where you can check Vamaship’s shipment rates for various product/package weights.

To create a Vamaship account, enter your PAN Number in the text box provided and click the Create a Vamaship Account button.

 

Step 5 : A pop-up will appear that says Vamship has been successfully integrated with your website. Click OK to close the pop-up and return to the Shipment Settings page.

 

Step 6 : The Vamship box on the main Shipment Settings page will now contain additional options like Go to Vamaship Dashboard, Make Primary, and Recharge Now below your current wallet balance. Let’s break down what each of these buttons does.

 

Go to Vamaship Dashboard button redirects you to Vamaship’s official website where you can entirely control and manage your Vamaship profile.

 

Make Primary button selects Vamaship as the primary shipment method for all your webstore products.

 

Recharge Now button redirects you to Vamaship’s official website where you can recharge your in-site wallet to use for your shipments. Your wallet balance will be displayed on Ordify’s Shipment Settings page, at the bottom right side of the Vamaship box as Vamaship Wallet Balance.

 

Step 7 : To disable the Vamaship option, simply click the Disable option next to the blue button that now says “Enabled”.


Self Shipment

 

Use this method if you have your own varied shipping rates and a dedicated shipment service for your customers.

 

Step 1 : Hover to the Self Shipment box on the Shipment Settings page.

 

Step 2 : Click on the Enable Now button.

 

Step 3 : A new box opens called “Self Shipment Setup” that asks you to fill in a few details. Fill the text box labeled Shipment Pincode (from) with the Pincode of your warehouse or store, or the establishment from where all your products are dispatched to customers.

 

Step 4 : Below is a table you’ll need to fill up with your shipment rates.


The first row of the table contains data for heavy-weight packages shipping to different locations. Fill in your rates for heavy-weight packages (10kg or greater) shipping within the same city, outside the city but within the same state, outside the state but within the same country, and outside the country.

 

Similarly, fill the columns of the second row with data for light-weight packages (lesser than 10kg) shipping within the same city, outside the city but within the same state, outside the state but within the same country, and outside the country.

 

Step 5 : Select the “Make Self Shipment primary for all shipments?” option if you want to make the Self Shipment option your primary shipment option for customers.

 

Step 6 : Finally, click the Enable button to enable all your entered data in the Self Shipment option!

 

Step 7 : To disable the Self Shipment option, simply click the Disable option next to the blue button that now says “Enabled”.
